Horsemanship Classes & riding lessons
At Todd Acres LLC. we believe in creating a nurturing environment that fosters positive interactions between people and animals.
Our mission is simple: to promote animal welfare and human happiness while encouraging growth, learning and connection.
The only prerequisites to join our program are an appreciation for animals and a willingness to learn.
We offer an adaptive and therapeutic teaching style for those seeking a supportive and inclusive approach to learning. This method focuses on tailoring lessons to meet the needs of each student, creating a safe and empowering environment where everyone can thrive.
Unlike traditional riding lessons, this approach emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of working with horses on the ground, helping students develop not only physical skills but also emotional resilience and self-esteem.
We will meet you where you're at!
Our approach is rooted in fostering connection, compassion, coordination and confidence.

We understand that everyone is unique and we all have different goals. That's why we offer a multitude of different experiences here as well as customized lesson plans that are suited to your individual needs, interests and goals.
This is not a competitive or discipline-specific barn, though we can help make the right training plan and connections for you or your child if this becomes a future goal.
Our aim is to create lasting memories and skills that enrich lives for both people and animals alike.
Whether you're here to explore the joy of working with animals, develop foundational riding skills or simply to commit yourself to a nature-based routine, Todd Acres is the perfect place to start.

What we offer:
Small group classes or lessons, workshops & clinics : Our small, supportive groups offer a wide array of topics but primarily focus on horsemanship, foundational riding skills and safety. Perfect for those seeking hands-on experiences and connection with animals and nature.
Private lessons: For those looking for more personalized instruction, we offer a limited schedule of one-on-one lessons and recommend new clients to start with an intake lesson and consultation to find the best way to achieve your goals. Please note that though we try our best to accommodate, completely private lessons cannot be guaranteed beyond your intake lesson; often times lessons will share the arena space for a portion of the time.
What to Expect in a Lesson:
• Personalized Instruction: Lessons are tailored to the student’s individual goals, abilities, and comfort level. Education and comprehension are essential.
• Encouragement & growth: We prioritize safety, ensuring each rider feels supported while working with the horse, but also offer gentle nudges to try new things.
• Holistic Approach: Lessons may include grooming, groundwork, and mounted activities to help students build a strong connection with their horse.
• Pace Adjustments: Though there will be times the students are challenged to try things outside of their comfort zone, lessons generally move at a pace that aligns with the student’s needs, providing plenty of encouragement and time for skill development.

***Horsemanship and Riding Safety Program**
